WESTERN AUSTRALIA NURSING SERVICE MEDAL

Our Objectives

We believe that nurses deserve to be recognised for their commitment and service to their communities. Unlike other public officers, nurses are not granted the recognition for their service.

The purpose of the Medals for Nurses campaign is:

  1. To have the State Government of Western Australia recognise the service of nurses to the community by the implementation of a “Western Australia Nursing Service Medal” for Diligent and Ethical Service.
  2. To have all the state governments of Australia recognise the service of nurses to their community by the implementation of a “State Nursing Service Medal” for Diligent and Ethical Service.
  3. To have the Australia Government “It’s an Honour” recognise the service of nurses to their community by the implementation of a “National Nursing Service Medal” for Diligent and Ethical Service.
